Libby Jackson remembers how her family marked the Moon Landings

Libby Jackson is the Human Exploration Programme Manager at the UK Space Agency. Libby discusses the events of 20th July 1969 through the accounts of her father who was a teenager at the time of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. She recounts how his family were woken up at 03:30am to sit around the black and white television set to watch the iconic footage. Libby flicks through an illustrated scrap book created by her father where he painstakingly detailed the Apollo missions.

Special thanks to Swindon Borough Council for their support with filming locations.
